New passenger safety products coming soon from InterMotive
InterMotive is designing two new products for transit vehicles to help protect passengers.
MobiliSafe™ is a wheelchair securement monitoring system to ensure wheelchair passengers are protected during travel. MobiliSafe will be offered as a standalone system or as an optional add-on feature to Freedman Seating Company's SeatLink™ seat belt monitoring system.
SentrySweep helps ensure no person or belonging is left on a vehicle. The driver must walk to the back of the vehicle to turn off a warning buzzer, thus verifying the vehicle is empty. SentrySweep will be offered as an add-on feature to SeatLink™.
These products will be available in the first quarter of 2025. More information coming soon.
Leadership changes for InterMotive and LGS Group
Owners Greg and Linda Schafer have decided to step down from their President and CEO positions, passing the baton to current Senior Vice President Carl Wacker, who will assume the role of President effective January 1, 2025.
InterMotive has launched its new chassis body harnessing division, InterMotive Connect. From switch to load, the new division will provide a one-stop shop of design, harness and integration for commercial vehicles. More details to follow.
